I am counting on you to participate in and share this campaign, so that together we can make "TON DI PETU" a reality.
"Ton di Petu" is a bit of my emotions reflected in unpublished songs of my own writing, with roots in traditional rhythms and a more modern style. This new project was born from several moments of dialogue with my guitar. Themes emerged from emotions, experiences and reflections on everyday life, as well as the need to share them with others. Thus, I have turned to Crowdfunding, which is a collective financing system that allows music-lovers to support the production of an artist's project, through a financial contribution in exchange for a stake in the resulting work. Crowdfunding enables the realization of many dreams that would otherwise be difficult to materialize. If the intended amount is not raised within the set deadline, the platform returns the value to the supporters. This makes it a source of secure funding.
The album will be recorded in Cape Verde and Portugal and will have the participation of two featured artists.
About the author
The singer/songwriter Sara Alhinho is an artist whose music is at the intersection of three continents. Born in Portugal to a mother from Cabo Verde and a father from Mexico, Sara moved to Cabo Verde when she was 6 years old. This has made her an artist with a musical identity of her own, mirrored in her artistic journey from a first participation in the children's CD "Menino das Ilhas", produced by Paulino Vieira, to the CD "Gerassons" recorded with the artist Tété Alhinho, to her first solo album "Mosaico", which was co-produced with a Mexican producer, Icautli Cortés. Mosaico is a confirmation of her multi-ethnic identity, summed up in a kind of "melting pot of feelings" as it is well expressed in one of its tracks.
Accompanied by her faithful guitar, Sara is currently preparing new compositions for her latest album – hence, this campaign.
