Dream Pawn Shop intends to record their first LP and for that they need your help.

After four years of existence, DPS feel that the time has come to record their first full length. After some changes in the band that made the Dream Pawn Shop take a new musical direction, we decided to stop for a year and write new material to record our LP. They are 10 uncompromising rock songs with no boundaries and no rules for which we need your help to cover the costs of recording, mixing and mastering in a quality studio, so that the public gets the best possible result.

About the author

We are Dream Pawn Shop, a rock/metal band  from Leiria. We will be recording our first full-length album in May and are asking for your support to make it happen.

There isn’t just one key to success in the music business. We count passion, talent, organisation and the golden key to the items to unlock the gate to success. The first three we have and we will tell you why. But the last one... well, see for yourself which one is the golden key.

Let’s take our drummer Nuno Sarnadas as an example. As a teenager he didn’t own any drums. But he was so passionate about drumming, that he practised for two years with his mother’s knitting needles and cushions in the living room whilst watching videos of his drumming idols and copying their moves precisely. Just recently Nuno was referred to as “the center piece of the band, precise and demolishing” by the online-magazine Ruído Sonoro. So starting off with very simple tools, Nuno is today an excellent drummer and that all thanks to his passion for music.

Every one of our members has an interesting story to tell. Every one of us has talent. But if it comes to our guitarist Nuno Barradas, well, we have to admit that he is one of our main driving forces. He has not only composed whole orchestra pieces he has also composed music for computer games, to name a few of his artistic endeavours.

But passion and talent aren’t the only keys to success. If you don’t have a plan, you will never reach your goals. We consider ourselves a well organised and structured band and our main goal is to bring portuguese rock and metal back to the scene.

So, which one is the missing item, the golden key? Well, we are pretty sure you have already guessed it and yes, you are right. It is you. We’ve provided you with the proof that we are not just “a” band. But we need you to give us this last little push we need, to open up the gate to success. Please support us and be a part of our story.

Budget and due dates

The value we are aiming for is 1500€, which will cover the costs of recoding, mixing and mastering the album in a professional studio with the help of Miguel Tereso, with whom we have previously worked on "The Skeleton Key" EP.

The recordings will take place at Demigod Studios beginning on May 20, 2017. We expect to have the recordings finalized by June 2017, and the final version (mixed and mastered) by August 2017. After that, physical format will be released as well as its launch on the various platforms available (iTunes, Spotify, etc.).

1500€ is the minimum amount we need to record, mix and master the 10 songs that we have ready. The ideal would be to raise 2500€ for reproduction expenses, advertising and promotional material for the tour we have planned in support of the album.
