Mariana grows in the Algarve mountain range that soon deserted men when Portugal assumed its position in the Great War , While Antonio embarks to Flanders to return a man, marked by war and with a wild eagerness for peace.Two lives that are in Alcaria do Monte, the quiet village Mariana loves fiercely and where Antonio finds the peace he needs, and The relation of the two grows of convenience the friendship, until, without being perceived, it becomes love. "

About the author

A native of the Algarve, raised in a family where creativity and culture have always been encouraged, Virgínia Teixeira Antunes soon discovered her passion for writing and literature, participating in several literary contests and being published in anthologies and collections, one of them in the book "Mens Sana " edited by Livros de Ontem.

He currently lives in England where, when he does not deal with writing, he works in Education and Languages.

 Alcaria do Monte is his first novel.
