1st School of Super Powers existing in Sintra municipality, "Move yourself" in the parish of Massamá and Monte Abraão!
What we want to do?
We want to build a school of super powers entitled by "Move yourself" in the parish council of Massamá and Monte Abraão. The superpowers schools count with a team of activators, in this case we, Ana Borges and Marta Magueijo, we will meet a series of missions for the creation of this school. The missions come first by raising € 350, identify existing resources and talents in our community, mobilize these talents to become volunteer mentors for groups of learners and encourage each group of learners to reciprocate and transform their community.
Why?
The motivation we have to move forward with this project will be to fill an urgent need that is not addressed in our community. Today it doesn't exist any social-oriented project for the youth of the parish besides mandatory ones, nor voluntary projects where people do what they love to do. We want to make a positive difference in our community and turn a small bit of the world a better place.
For what?
We want to create this project so there will be, in first place, more people doing volunteering in Portugal, trying to achieve the goal of the transformers movement that is to increase the volunteer rate in Portugal from 15% in 2014 to 50% in 2020. Second to create interaction, motivation and courage between young people of our community. Finally to repair the lack of support for the younger who live in this parish.
Goals?
Our main goal is to raise € 350 within a month and a half, ending on 15 May at 23:59 hours. As a second goal we want to achieve in the first year an involvement of about 30 apprentices in the school of superpowers and 10 mentors as well.
How?
This whole process of creating a school of superpowers begins with our first mission being successful: raise 350 € within a month and a half. Later we will identify the resources and talents of our community, convince these talents to become mentors so they can share their talent with the different learners.
For whom?
This project is intended for all those who belong to the parish of Massamá and Monte Abraão, and even in the county of Sintra, for the people that want to learn more, and above all for those who want to make a positive difference in our community.
Who makes this project successful?
Ana Borges and Marta Magueijo are the ones that will coordenate this project, both residents and professionals in the parish of Massamá and Monte Abraão.
With what?
We will build our school with all that we can get: your monetary contribution, your contribution as mentors, the contribution of mentors who dont live in this parish, sponsorships, and especially the good will of people who want to help building a community and a better world for all.
