"Who Stole the Cake?!" is a comedy short about a young pastry cook who is going to welcome some friends to whom he wants to offer a cake... that disappears without explanation! And now, who stole the cake?!
Making movies is difficult. Making cinema in Portugal tends to be even more difficult, but with everyone's help it can become possible and accessible!
This story was developed with the aim of creating a simple comedy, mixed with a brief mystery and with a very small number of characters present, as well as the technical team.
This campaign is intended to support this independent film project, written and (to be) directed by Gerson Rosário. We do not have associated partnerships for the time being, but we are in talks with the main media and companies to support the issue of marketing, publication and sales.
This project ends up being more of a guerrilla, without major material accesses, but also more closed in a single space, without the need for great logistics or many hours, but always with a huge passion for the art we make, which makes this production completely strays from the main standard forms created for fundraising.
Our main need is to ensure food, transport and stage accessories that, without them, we will not be able to build this story, but we also want to be able to create a job that will be remunerated for all those involved, no matter how symbolic it may be. , to give a different spirit to the work that we can and really want to develop.
We estimate that the recordings will take only 2 days (approximately 5 to 6 hours a day with natural light) and will take place in a private residence in the city of Faro, provided free of charge for the recordings.
We already have the video and sound material for all the project's audiovisual capture.
We really appreciate all the support! A HUGE thank you to everyone!
