Belito dreams of creating his own clothing brand. To achieve this, he needs to complete a fashion training program to complement his studies.
Abel, better known as Belito, was born on April 18, 2004, in the village of Macia, Mozambique. At just 9 years old, he joined GASPORTO's Crescer de Mãos Dadas sponsorship program. Since then, he has been an exemplary godchild: committed to school, diligent, and involved in all activities.
His aptitude for sewing was evident from an early age, having learned from his father. In 2024, he was admitted to the technical-professional Textile course at the National School of Visual Arts, a public school in Maputo. This three-year course, equivalent to the 12th grade, already represents a huge achievement. And, in 2025, Belito made all the school uniforms (mandatory in Mozambican schools) for all the children and young people in the program.
But Belito wants to go further. His biggest dream is to one day launch his own clothing brand. To do so, he needs to attend specific training in fashion, something the technical course doesn't cover in depth.
The family can't afford this cost, and Belito's godmothers already provide for his education in Maputo. That's why we created this campaign: so that, together, we can give him this unique opportunity and take him one step closer to realizing his dream.

Belito participa no II Simpósio Nacional sobre Etnobotânica
No dia 24 de outubro, o afilhado Belito participou na segunda edição do Simpósio Nacional sobre Etnobotânica, que decorreu no Anfiteatro da Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, em Maputo.
O evento, organizado pelo Centro de Investigação e Desenvolvimento em Etnobotânica (CIDE), teve como objetivo promover o debate científico sobre o uso seguro de plantas medicinais e alimentares, valorizando o conhecimento tradicional como parte integrante da saúde pública e do desenvolvimento sustentável.
O Belito foi convidado pela sua professora para integrar o projeto do CIDE, em reconhecimento pelo seu empenho e dedicação. Durante o simpósio, apresentou peças produzidas e tingidas com corantes naturais, obtidos a partir de plantas medicinais, explorando formas sustentáveis de utilizar os recursos naturais na arte e na moda.
A participação representou uma oportunidade de grande aprendizagem e criatividade, reforçando o seu interesse em aprofundar conhecimentos e em continuar a apostar na área da moda
