Filipe is part of a group of volunteers from the Consolata Missionaries who will go to Guinea Bissau for the entire month of August 2024.
The objective is to rebuild a kindergarten that is in a very poor state of repair and provide children with better conditions for learning.
The kindergarten is attended by children from needy families, many of them orphans.
Betting on education is betting on a more fraternal, fair and supportive tomorrow.
To cover personal expenses (flights, family commitments, vaccinations, shopping for products for the children), Filipe needs around €2500.

About the author
I'm Filipe Maia, a volunteer with the Missionaries of Consolata de Águas Santas.
I am Catholic, a long journey serving the Jovens Em Caminhada Youth Movement. The main activities I participated in were training courses for young people, camps and support for the Youth Reception Center in Braga.
I have been lucky enough to be a psychologist since 2004 and I am passionate about what I do. I managed to make an idea come true, walktobelieve, which feeds one of my life purposes: the well-being of others. Walking in nature allows me to reconnect and find my balance.
My main internal strengths: love; curiosity; perseverance; spirituality and creativity. And it is these characteristics that I intend to put at the service of the children of Empada.
Budget and due dates
To cover personal expenses (flights, family commitments, vaccinations, purchasing products for the children), you will need around €2,500 by the end of next August.
The campaign is intended to begin during the first fortnight of June, ending on August 31, 2024.
