Greta Edições makes its debut with the book “Where are they walking?”, a selection of texts produced by lesbian people and women, organized by Alexa Santos.
About the campaign:
The campaign is entirely focused on the production of the book “Where are they walking?”, involving copyright, text editing, proofreading, design and graphic production/printing. The selection of texts was carried out by Alexa Santos, an important activist for causes related to lesbian visibility in Portugal, with the collection of texts from fanzine, theater play, scientific article, poetry and literary text that address a diversity of political, cultural and artistic. The book was born, therefore, from the need to know history and diversity, in addition to giving visibility to lesbian production in Portugal, from the first fanzine to the present day.

About the author
Greta Edições is the new arm of Greta Livraria Feminista, specializing in books written by women and non-binary people. In this sense, Greta Edições was born with the need to learn more, and in an intersectional way, about feminisms and their publications in Portugal and around the world.
Our mission is to give visibility to feminist movements by producing books that will raise voices that have been marginalized around the world to build a more equal and fair world.
Greta Edições initially intends to publish one to two books per year, as it is a small and independent publisher. We aim to have a variety of genres, such as activist non-fiction, translated literature, hybrid memoirs, children's books, as well as texts that question gender. Other interests: feminist dystopia, environmental justice, and immigration stories. We will not publish poetry, dramatic works, doctoral theses or literary criticism at this time.
To begin our mission, we started the Fresta Collection , a collection of feminisms always seen in an intersectional way. The first book in this collection will be "Where they walk?", which will feature a selection of texts by lesbian people and women with the organization of texts by Alexa Santos, to ensure depth and diversity about the struggle present in the book.
