Support for the publication of the book "#7untitled", by the duo Marta Cerqueira and Simão Costa — Dance of Inert Materials. The book explores dance, music and visual arts.

We are launching this crowdfunding campaign to support the publication of the book "#7untitled", the most recent creation of the "Dance of Inert Materials" collection developed by the artist duo Marta Cerqueira and Simão Costa. This innovative collection encompasses pieces, shows and installations that explore the relationship between dance, music and visual arts, transforming performative research into installation and exhibition formats.

The campaign will last one month and aims to raise funds to support the production and launch of the book "#7untitled", during which we will share the creative process and inspirations for this new work. The book launch will take place on June 6, 2024 at Stolen Books, in Lisbon, with the presence of artists and designer Marta Ramos.

Since 2016, Marta Cerqueira and Simão Costa have created six distinct pieces for the Dança dematerials Inertes collection, presented in different national and international spaces and contexts.

The project culminated in a celebration, in 2021, at Convento São Francisco, in Coimbra, marking the beginning of a creative break in 2022. This break allowed the "fermentation" of the seventh creation, "#7untitled", a project that represents a new challenge , with greater depth and a more extensive creation process.

The 7th work in the series opens up to a new presentation format: the book.

In partnership with the publisher Stolen Books and the designer Marta Ramos, this duo of artists (dancer-choreographer and pianist-composer) presents a new work that emerges following the visual universe of the pieces [shows and installations] from the “Dance of Inert Materials”, in the expanded field of dance and music.

Budget and due dates

The crowdfunding campaign aims to raise 3.000,00 euros to co-finance the production, launch and distribution of the book "#7untitled" by Marta Cerqueira and Simão Costa. The funds will be allocated to the following areas:

• Production and Printing: A portion of the budget will be used for the production and printing of the book in high quality.
• Distribution and Logistics: Costs related to transportation and distribution of the book will be covered by the budget, ensuring that the book reaches supporters and buyers efficiently
• Publicity and Marketing: Marketing and publicity plan are essential to reach a wider audience and ensure the success of the project.

Calendar:

The crowdfunding campaign will last one month.

• Production: The design and editing of the book are in the final phase. The production and printing process will be completed during the month of May.

• Book Launch: The book launch is scheduled for June 6, 2024, with the presentation of the installation #6propagação of the "Dance of Inert Materials" collection

• Delivery of Rewards: Shortly after the book launch, rewards will be distributed to supporters of the campaign.
