Originally published, by ANTI-DEMOS-CRACIA, in July 2023, in the CD-Digisleeve format accompanied by a booklet and which includes 17 original songs by Sétima Legião, covered by 17 bands with alternative sounds and aesthetics (Corsage, Desolate Man, Lur Lur, mARCIANO, Mind Reset, Moving Trees, Closer, Herr G meets Fuel2Fight (feat. Ana Onoff), JH Lab, Manifestis Probatum, A Sul Não Norte, D#K (feat. Miguel Leonardo), Floating Ashes, Sid & The Fall, PCM, The Black Archer and Cortez Lamont III).

About the author

The ANTI-DEMOS-CRACIA label emerged in mid-1988 and one of its objectives was to record, on cassette, the sound wanderings of the industrial music project VARPLES PRAVLES.

On this cassette (which would become edition 000) we can find 22m and 41s of rudimentary recordings made, during the year 1989, in what was then left of the Fábrica da Sereia facilities, located in Aldeia de Paio Pires (Casal de Santo António) , with VARPLES PRAVLES (1988-1990) along with TÍTULO PÓSTUMO (1987-1988), probably among the first industrial music projects to emerge in Portugal.

After this edition, which took place at the beginning of 1990, others naturally appeared, always from projects, whether Portuguese or foreign, with a very particular aesthetic and sound and of an alternative nature.

There was, however, a “mandatory” stop in mid-1994 and (only) 14 years later, in mid-2008, it emerged with a new impulse that still lasts today.

Over these 35 years, several editions have appeared, both in physical format and also in digital format, and to date more than 110 editions have been recorded, divided between cassette, CD and digital and with the participation of around 180 artists from several countries, such as Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Greece, Holland, England, Italy, USA and Ukraine.
