This is the fourth album by Victor Castro and the first dedicated entirely to the Portuguese guitar.
This is the fourth album by Victor Castro and the first dedicated entirely to the Portuguese guitar. My Lost Cittern is the name of this album, which includes songs of his own, originally written for the Portuguese guitar. There will also be music by renowned composers, such as Pedro Caldeira Cabral and Carlos Paredes. For this work Victor Castro will feature special guest appearances by Bruno Rodrigues (Doublebass) and Zézinho Gotelipe (Drums). The art of the cover will be by Claus Alves da Silveira, the photo will be by Jorge Monjardino and Zé Miguel Fernandes will be responsible for recording, mixing and mastering.
About the author
The guitarist, arranger and composer Victor Castro was born in Angra do Heroísmo, Azores, Portugal. He graduated in classical guitar at the Regional Conservatory of Angra do Heroísmo, where he studied with Carlos Baptista Ávila and with the North Americans Steven Rings, Thimothy Jonhson, Miles D.Bardford, Eddy Goldz, finishing studies with Roberto Hugo (Uruguay). He attended the masterclasses of David Russell, Eduardo Issac, Eduardo Fernandez, Ana Vidovic, Marco Pereira, Sebastião Tapajós, Fábio Zanon among others. He holds a degree in Music from the Federal University of Maranhão - Brazil and a Master's degree in Performance at the University of Aveiro - Portugal. He has three edited CDs. He has already performed concerts in Portugal, Spain, Germany, Finland, the United States, Argentina and Brazil. He has performed with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra (OSB) and the Chamber Orchestra of the Maranhão Music School. He is regularly invited to participate in classical guitar festivals for concerts and to teach masterclasses. He won twice the "Raphael Rabelo" Prize at the International Guitar Festival of Piauí in February 2008 and 2009. Amongst the highlights of his career are: the debut of works by several composers, including Thimothy Jonhson ( USA), Antero Ávila (PT) Thomas Kupsch (GER), Ubiratan Sousa (BRA); the concert of the "10 de Junho" celebrations for His Exc. President of the Republic Dr. Jorge Sampaio; guest of the Guitar Cycle of the Coimbra Culture Secretariat and the Francisco Lacerda International Festival; Integral of the work for guitar of Lopes-Graça in concert in the Auditorium of SPA, Lisbon, Concert Tribute to Carlos Paredes at the Fado Museum in Lisbon with Paulo Cunha where he plays in Portuguese Guitar. In 2010 he was honored in Lisbon by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which gave him "Talent Prize 2009" by the fado singer Camané. In the field of popular music he has also worked with great musicians in Brazil and Portugal. As a composer, his compositions have been published by the publisher AvA Musical Editions, (Lisbon-Portugal).
Budget and due dates
The support aims to pay for the recording, production and mechanical reproduction of the CD.
The CD is expected to be released during the month of April 2019.

Caros amigos e apoiantes da miha campanha, por favor ignorem a mensagem da PPL na qual diz que a minha campanha não foi bem sucedida. A nossa campanha foi bem sucedida e o CD está pronto. Eu peço desculpa pelo erro do qual não tive culpa nenhuma, acho que aqui a PPL perdeu dois pontos, um por não ter ainda retificado o erro, e outro por na mensagem aliciar-vos a reencaminhar os vossos apoios a outras campanhas, isto não foi bonito. Lembro que esta mensagem não é automática e que os textos das mensagens, mesmo os das mensagens automáticas são sempre escritos por alguém.
