Rebel Minds - An after-school center for everyone. An educational and safe space.

Hello! I am a young entrepreneur and Social Educator, passionate about helping transform the future of children.

After having had the opportunity to work with children and their families, I realized that many of them do not have access to a safe, educational and stimulating space, after school hours, where, in addition to being able to study, they will have space to be who they are, CHILDREN!

I want to open an ATL in Vila Nova de Gaia, which offers study support, a playroom, extracurricular activities, transportation and healthy food, all in a safe, inclusive and fun environment.

However, to get started I need your help! The costs of rent, licenses and teaching materials are high, and as this is an independent project, all your support is essential.

With your contribution, you will be helping families in the community and ensuring a development space for dozens of children.

Hello!

My name is Ana Rocha and I have felt connected to the world of children since I was very young. I have a degree in Social Education and, throughout my internships and professional experiences, I had the opportunity to work with children from different backgrounds, understanding their needs, their fears, but also their dreams. It was during this journey that I realized a huge gap: many families do not have a safe place to leave their children after school hours, or during the holidays, due to a lack of accessible and humane options.

It was from this realization, and from a true love for education, that the idea for this ATL was born: a space that is not just a place to “stay”, but an environment designed to welcome, stimulate and develop each child as a unique being. I want to offer support that goes beyond studies, with extracurricular activities, a playroom, reading moments and even transportation and food, in order to alleviate the burden that so many parents feel in their daily lives.

I am not just a professional in the field, I am a young entrepreneur with a social and educational project that is born from direct observation of reality. I do not rely on large investors or established structures, but on my dedication, knowledge, and the desire to create something transformative.

This campaign is the first step towards creating a space where all children have access to the care, learning and affection they deserve. And it is also a way of inviting you to be part of this change. Because together, we can create something truly special!

Budget and due dates

The €5,000 raised will be carefully applied to the creation of an after-school program with a study center, designed to support children and young people outside of school hours. Here is how it will be distributed:

• Deposit and 1 month's rent for the space: €1,500

• Adaptation of the space (painting, small improvements, security): €800

• Essential furniture (tables, chairs, shelves): €700

• Teaching materials and educational toys: €600

• Basic technology (1 computer and printer): €600

• Promotional material and visual identity (flyers, posters, logo): €300

Project Schedule:

• May – June 2025:

  • Identification and leasing of space

  • Start of small adaptation works

  • Purchase of furniture and teaching materials

• July 2025:

  • Installation and organization of space

  • Community outreach campaign

  • Pre-registration opens

• August 2025:

  • Introduction sessions for families

  • Internal testing and team preparation

• September 2025:

  • Official start of activities with children

This is a project with enormous heart and impact. Every contribution is a step towards creating a safe, educational and welcoming space for many children. Transparency will be ensured throughout the entire process.
