How much does it take to be yourself?
Louder is a short film in development focused on the coming-of-age genre. Clara, a shy young girl, meets Lívia, a more outgoing and social girl. In this film, Clara challenges herself to get closer to Lívia, learning to overcome her fears, interact with other people, and understand herself.
Due to the academic nature of this production, this crowdfunding campaign aims to cover essential costs so that it can be produced in a professional manner, with a greater focus on the cast, as well as food, transport and accommodation expenses, so that this film can be made in the best possible conditions for the entire team.
With this in mind, the team appreciates any contributions, no matter how symbolic. If you are interested, we count on your support to make this story a reality.
About the author
Miguel Moreira is a young director and screenwriter, fascinated by everything that involves cinema, with a particular interest in the coming-of-age genre. He is currently completing his Masters in Fiction Cinema at ESMAD. Previously, he has worked as a producer, script supervisor, editor, art assistant and actor in other academic projects. In this project, he presents himself as a director.
The Louder team includes final-year students of the Master’s in Fiction Film, who have come together to bring this story to life, and collaborate with other students and alumni from ESMAD and other art schools. We are all committed to making Louder a success and contributing to the growth and diversity of Portuguese cinema.
Budget and due dates
The team is currently in the pre-production phase, with filming scheduled for the end of February this year. All the money will go towards covering the cast's fees, as well as food, transportation, accommodation and art direction expenses.
Filming will take place in the metropolitan area of Porto, between the center and Vila Nova de Gaia, where the entire technical team and cast will be present on all days of production.
Pre-production - until February 19, 2025
Filming - 20th to 23rd February 2025
Post-production - February 25th to June 30th, 2025
Distribution - from September 2025
Previsão orçamental
Due to the academic nature of this project, our funding will have to be obtained mainly from sources outside the academic institution and, therefore, we ask for your support so that we can make this film in the best possible way.
This project can only be funded if the campaign goal is fully met, otherwise the entire contribution amount will not be used and will be returned in full. Any kind of support is appreciated, so please share the campaign with your friends and family.
