Lost Genesis: Lied - Episode 0.8

This crowdfunding campaign exists for the purpose of helping me, as the author of the Webtoon series "Lost Genesis: Lied", fund the next episode of my comic.

"Lost Genesis: Lied" is a Webtoon adaptation of an ongoing Web Novel of the same name, both written by me, Mitsuaki Seiji (pen name). The novel was published in 2016, but the story itself is being planned since 2013.

The first episode of the comic, Episode 0.1, was released on February 5, 2021, and drawn by Thiago Gastil. From Episode 0.2 onwards, the art was done by Yuki SenSei. Currently, there are seven episodes published on WEBTOON CANVAS (a free self-publishing platform, the best place to publish comics online) and a very positive feedback from the readers.

I always had a limited budget, and my only hope was to hit 1,000 subscribers and 40,000 Global Monthly Page Views in order to apply for the WEBTOON CANVAS Ad Revenue Sharing Program, which would allow me to keep paying my artist. It goes without saying that, despite several attempts to promote the project, I'm still far away from the goal, thus leaving me with no other choice but turn to crowdfunding.

About the author

I've been a huge fan of anime, video games and several books such as the Harry Potter and Eragon series ever since I was a kid. Unfortunately, my life took a turn for the worse and at the age of 15 there was hardly anything that could keep me motivated. Yet, my growing love for writing and the everlasting passion for reading manga brought forth a dream that I've been chasing over the last eight years.

I do not want this journey to be over, rather, it is now my wish to see it to the end, together with all my dear fans who stuck with me through thick and thin.

Budget and due dates

The drawing process of the episode, roughly 17 pages, is the following:

Phase 1: Sketch (it takes about one week to produce a single page)

The money will be appropriately allocated in a way that covers each step of the drawing process.

Fundraising lasts until August 31st, 2022.
