"I had a problem of 100kg in the head and is now 40kg" (Carlos, user of Solidarity Lockers)
The project “Solidarity Lockers” born from talking to people in homeless situation that identified as a daily problem in their lives, the inability to keep and protect their belongings. This solution born to allows these people to keep their belongings in a safe and dignified manner, while restores them a level of responsibility, empowerment and psychosocial support! Each person has a locker with a key and is responsible for this.
In parallel with the practical utility, the project have a professional team that facilitate the relationship with social services. Is a "step" between the street and a living out of the street.

"Because when we talk we are more human." This is the motto of ACA whose mission "giving life to innovative projects arising from the conversation." Talks to whom? People in loneliness and exclusion. Why talk? The talk is a trait of humanity, solidarity, participation and cooperation between people. In this sense we develop our projects according to the needs of people, identifying problems with them, using the conversation as a tool.
ACA is a non-profit, apolitical and irreligious organization, founded in 2007. Since then has developed nine projects among which the innovation projects “Solidarity Lockers” and “Health Kiosk”.
Budget and due dates
The main costs of implementing the new Solidarity Lockers are:
- Production of lockers in the model and existing color (this model is unique having been effectively designed for the homeless) - 3,900€;
- Support structure of Solidarity Lockers with coverage - 800€;
- Construction and installation on site - 300€;
Implement 2015 (between October and December) - 24 Solidarity Lockers
Implement in 2016 (January-May) - 12 Solidarity Lockers
Your contribution will be fully applied in this project and will help to implement six new Solidarity Lockers (corresponds to about 17% of the total planned - 36 Solidarity Lockers)
