Hi! My name is Carla, and I am trying to do a course at Harvard. This course is fundamental to me as it will help me lead in a better way the Task Force that I am coordinating "Women in Politics". If you share this kind of values, donate!!!
Hi! First, thanks for taking a little bit of your time to read this. I’m Carla Barroso, 23 years old, born and raised in Braga. I recently joined Volt Portugal, where I have been actively participating within the party. One of the projects that give me more proud, which I want to talk about is the Task Force “Women in Politics”. This group aims to address the issue of female participation in the political environment. The main objective is to attract more women to Volt Portugal, but the problem is much broader than that, we must go to the root of the issue. Due to this project, Volt Europa indicated me for the Harvard Kennedy School course entitled “Leadership, Organizing and Action”. In it, I will learn to lead better the members who are part of the Task Force and have better results and responses.
Here is where your participation comes in. The course costs 2000eur, with Volt Europa funding 25%. If you can and believe that politics must be made by all the elements that make up our society, I ask you to help me with the expenses, 1eur is enough, and I am very grateful!
Politics is a space for everyone and all of us. Unfortunately, women often find this space fenced. We are at a time of paradigm shifts at all levels. We are used to seeing and doing politics in a pre-established, more masculine way, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Politics can be done in many ways, more empathic. I believe that the policy of Jacinda Arden, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, is the best example of this change. And I think that this type of politics will be the “new normal”. If you believe in it too and want to help me with my project, I ask you to contribute to help me achieve this goal.
Thank you!
