JORNAL D'OUVIR - "Listening Newspaper"- project of shortening distances to the elderly

Biweekly audio-newspaper, in MP3 format, designed to take the dynamics of the Community Center to the homes of the elderly, for active listening and shortening distances.

Jornal D'Ouvir is an audio-newspaper in MP3, designed for elderly people, for active listening, in their homes. He intends to take the dynamics that filled his days in the Community Center, to his homes, to shorten the distance and make his days happier and less lonely. The content will be updated every two weeks. To make this project possible, we need support to purchase 30 MP3 players, and recording equipment for a total of € 1050.

About the author

The Carcavelos Parish Community Center is an Institution for social solidariety  with 39 years of service in favor of Carcavelos community and neighboring areas. Develops projects for the various age groups in the scope of support to the family and community, namely Nursery, After School, Social Grocery, Social Canteen, support for homeless people, Home Care, Senior Activities and Day Care Center.
