Babete Nursery is a 22-year-old service provided by AJPAS - Association of Community Intervention, Social Development and Health, a non-governmental organization (NGO), with IPSS status, non-profit. By publicizing our project we intend to support not only financial, but also goods and equipment and human resources. Every help is welcome.

Babete Nursery is a 22-year-old service provided by AJPAS - Association of Community Intervention, Social Development and Health, a non-governmental organization (NGO), with IPSS status, non-profit. AJPAS was born on June 18, 1993, the date of its first General Assembly and operates in the municipalities of Amadora and Sintra, in the areas of Health, Immigration, Education and Training of Youth and Adults. The scarcity of responses of this kind of support to families (early childhood - 4 months to 3 years), namely those without or with little financial resources, led AJPAS to contribute to providing equal opportunities and experiences that lead to better physical development. - emotional, intellectual and social, through individualized and / or group work, appropriate to the age and needs of children.

About the author

AJPAS Babete Nursery is located in a Social District and can accommodate 39 children aged 4 months to 3 years. These are distributed into 3 rooms, taking into account their age range: in the Fantasy Room - 10 children aged from 4 months until gait acquisition, in the Magic Room - 13 children from gait acquisition until 2 Pandas Room - 16 children from 2 to 3 years old. The day care center is open from 7:30 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding national and municipal holidays and 15 days in August for holidays.

The children who attend our day care center live in the municipality of Amadora and most of them are from social neighborhoods in the surrounding area of ​​our facilities. Households have low economic resources and monthly fees are reduced, leading to some financial sustainability problems for our institution. To cover all expenses we try to get support from businesses and individuals by getting donations under the Patronage Law.
