Filipa is a young woman who lives in conflict with her own gender identity and is afraid of losing the support of the one she loves most, her family.

“FILIPA” is a short film made within the scope of the discipline of Workshop, Production, Lighting, Sound and Editing of the course Production of Audiovisual Content, from ECIA, IPLuso.
We decided to create this crowdfunding to help us pay for the production costs of this short film, which has a limited budget since it is a school film.
Our team is working hard to make Filipa a film that everyone will remember seeing. Which leads us to give our greatest commitment and dedication.
We count on your help to make it happen.

Synopsis

Filipa is a young woman who lives in conflict with her own gender identity and is afraid of losing the support of the one she loves most, her family.

'Filipa' is a story that addresses the issue of transsexuality. Throughout life, it is the options and choices that define us, but we carry with us material that we neither perceive nor control. Something makes us be and act, something that was born with us.
The objective of the film 'Filipa' is to give visibility to what it is to be Trans and to support people who may be experiencing similar cases.

About the author

The “FILIPA” team consists of students from the 1st year of the Audiovisual Content Production course, from ECIA, IPLuso.
We are a team of colleagues with the strength to want to see a world without prejudice. And we are making the film with the aim of starting to normalize the theme of transsexuality.
After all what does it mean to be trans? This is a theme for many still unknown.
With our film we intend to give visibility to this new reality by adopting an original narrative.

TEAM:

The team is mostly made up of students from the Audiovisual Content Production course at IPLUSO, but also has the precious cooperation of Rita Senhor in the musical composition and Inês Plácido and Mafalda Baptista in hair and makeup.
We also count on the collaboration of Paulo Ferreira, director of Academia Mundo das Artes (AMA), where our casting of actors took place.
We also had the assistance of Joana Fernandes (Clinical Psychologist) and Margarida Alonso (Social Support Technician at Casa Qui) to review the argument.

And we also enjoy the privilege of the cooperation of the Actress Pattie Martins in a masterclass on the work of actors and direction of actors.
