FADO ON GLAZED TILE is an event that will take place in Lisbon, at the Nacional Glazed Tile Museum, on the 18th of May.
FADO ON GLAZED TILE is a free entry cultural event that will be evaluated and graded, since it part of a project for a degree in Leisure Management and Tourism Entertainment at the Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies.
It is part of the International Museum Day and its main goal is to reignite young people's interest for fado and the glazed tile, since they are a big part of the portuguese culture.
With this event, we intend to expore fado's branchings that happened due to its development throughout time. We believe that, by making an event with free access, we are contributing and making culture a bit more accessible.
We want to get the participants a bit closer to the portuguese identity while still connecting them to two elements that are a big part of this culture.

About the author
We are a group of 6 students from Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies and we currently are finishing the last year of our degree in Leisure Management and Tourism Entertainment. This project will be developed for some subjects, that is, it will be evaluated and graded. However, we don't have access to any funding source.
We want our event to be a success because, as young students, we understand the importance of fado and its ability to appeal to all ages differently.
Budget and due dates
Currently, we need financing in order to finish our project. The money will be oriented to the payment of two sound technicians, guitar players (for the acoustic guitar and the traditional portuguese guitar), gas for the transportation of some materials and other photography and video services.
- Two sound technicians - 320€
- Acoustic Guitarist - 50€
- Guitarist for the portuguese guitar - 50€
- Photography and Video services - 40€
- Gas for transportation - 40€
- Percentage for PPL - 50€
These services are crucial to make our event happen. Our event will take place on the 18th of May, for that reason we need these funds until the very beggining of May.
