Keep the app "Eat with T1D" alive for 5 years

Active in the digital world of applications for several years, the time has come to ask for help with costs, to ensure its maintenance in a continuous and stable manner,

The main cost of maintaining the app is the Apple development license. This license has an annual cost of €99 ( Choosing a Membership - Support - Apple Developer).

It is mainly with this cost that I need help.

Why 5 years? Because it is the way to reach the minimum objective limit to be able to use this platform that allows a transparent process for all parties.

Why not just make the application paid? Because that would make this another elitist app. I believe that many people use it because they need it and do not have the capacity to pay another monthly fee. Appealing to those who can give a little for the common good seemed like the best solution.

With all the funds from this campaign I will be able to keep the application alive and updated in both stores for 5 years.

Computer programmer by profession, but diabetic first and foremost... literally.

When people ask me how long I've been diabetic, I usually say that I don't remember not being diabetic. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes Melitus in the early 1980s, at just 3 years old. At that time, maintaining stable blood sugar levels was almost an impossible task.

I never felt that diabetes limited me, and I still think that way today. It was with this principle in me that this application came about.

I felt the need to develop it when I (belatedly) understood how important nutrition is in my control and I didn't find any application with the Portuguese foods and dishes that I have on my plate every day.

Budget and due dates

After raising the necessary amount, the app will be guaranteed to be updated and kept available in stores for 5 years, between 2025 and 2030!
