We aim to create a game that encourages children to discover and use their strengths in daily life and that can be a valuable resource for parents, teachers, and psychologists.
The game "To Grow in Strength(s)" is a deck of 30 cards: 24 with character strengths cards (eg.: love, curiosity, courage, leadership, humor); 5 challenge cards and a card with instructions. It is based on Seligman and Peterson's work, published in 2004, which identifies 24 universal character strengths, recognized and valued throughout history by diverse cultures.
It is aimed at children between the ages of 5 and 12 and the adults who are part of their lives, helping them identify and appreciate their own strengths and of others around them. It can be played within family or at school.
