FFP2 / N95 masks for the Hospital of Viseu ... and more!

The purpose of this campaign is to raise funds to be able to place an order with suppliers in China for the largest number of FFP2 / N95 masks to offer to the CHTV Internal Medicine Service.

In the context of the CoViD-19 Pandemic there has been a general lack of masks and other Personal Protective Equipment, namely in the Tondela-Viseu Hospital Center, which has a serious and worrying lack of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We need P2 / N95 masks to be able to safely assist patients with breathing problems, patients suspected or confirmed with CoViD-19.

The masks prevent the contagion of professionals and consequently the contagion of other patients who are seen throughout the Hospital of Viseu. Individual protection is a crucial link in community and population protection.

The purpose of this campaign is to raise funds to be able to place an order with suppliers in China for the largest number of FFP2 / N95 masks to offer to the CHTV Internal Medicine Service.

Internal Medicine professionals are responsible for patients admitted to the Medical Service, are responsible for patients admitted to wards for patients with diagnosed CoVid-19 and have a physical presence 24/7 365 days a year in the Emergency Department.

The more PPE we have, the more protected we are, the less cross-infections will occur, the less professionals will be infected. Only with adequate and sufficient equipment will we be in fact prepared for what is coming!

As we will all have to be supportive at this time, we are committed to sharing the masks we can with other hospital units that are in need. This is a real Global problem.

Daniel Aparício, a doctor since 2018 graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra, with the Professional Certificate OM 66087, is an Internal Doctor of the Internal Medicine Service of CHTV.

Budget and due dates

The minimum amount to place an order for masks (minimum one thousand masks) is around 2300 €, including shipping costs. At the value of the campaign, transaction fees and fees from the fundraising platform will also be removed.

Each mask has a market value that varies between 1 and 2 USD (United States Dollar). We are contacting different Chinese suppliers to be able to bring to Portugal FFP2 or N95 masks with CE certification as soon as possible.

The order will be placed until the end of the month. The sooner we reach our goal the better! We have to prepare in time!

PPL is not charging any fees for this campaign except for the payment costs
