Chá Mercante: a quiet tea shop that supports community

Supporting a small local tea shop.

Supporting a small local tea shop.

Chá Mercante is the dream tea shop of a single female-prenuer. A plant-based shop that hosts intimate gatherings.

The goal has always been to create a warm and welcoming environment, where visitors feel at home, with fragrant teas, fresh baked goods, and a sense of community.

While coffee fuels production, tea is the fuel of creativity, community, and togetherness.

Several groups have had intimate gatherings at Chá Mercante, having resources will enable the tea house to offer it's own events, such as tea & tisane focused classes and evens headed by a local Tea Sommelier. immediately, resources will allow the tea shop to be on solid footing

About the author

Chá Mercante was born from its founders’ love for tea.

After leaving the United States for a quiet life abroad, Moureene worked tirelessly to find a shop and location that suited the quiet, sleepy atmosphere of a teahouse. A place quiet enough to hear own's own creativity, and with nourishing, plant-based, freshly baked goods.

As a neurodivergent woman, Moureene also knows the importance of having a low-stimulus environment, as neurodivergence-friendly places are not easy to find.

Some of the most important things in her life are tea, peace and her dog, Steev, the little dog who crossed an ocean with her.
