Help Climate Circle Lisbon drive local action! We are funding our operations for 2026 and launching the Lisbon Repair Map to build a more regenerative city together.
Our Evolution: From Events to Collective Action
Since 2022, Climate Circle has been a key meeting point in Lisbon. Until now, our main focus has been on hosting events to build connections and share knowledge. However, we feel we can go much further. Our community is ready for more, and we want to become facilitators of climate action, providing the right tools so that every member can turn intentions into concrete impact.
In 2025, we took a decisive step by formally registering our association. This legal foundation was essential for our expansion. Now, we are preparing 2026 as a year to build a solid base, strengthening our internal structure so we can fully embrace our role as catalysts for change.
This crowdfunding campaign arises within this context of growth and empowerment. The funds raised will have a dual purpose: first, to cover the essential operating costs of the association; second, to fund projects that our community wishes to bring to life.
We ask for your support in any way you can, helping us deliver this added value to Lisbon. By supporting Climate Circle, you are not just funding an organization; you are investing in the infrastructure that will allow many other climate initiatives to emerge and thrive. Let’s build a more regenerative city, together.
About the author
We are a community-led initiative building meaningful connections since 2022. In a work done by the community, for the community, we bring people together via regular events, peer exchange, and collaboration. We believe in people, participation, and collective growth.
Powered by 11 community builders, with a growing network of partners, and connected with over 420 members, we’ve hosted 63 events and grown an engaged online presence across LinkedIn and Instagram.
In 2026, we're looking to expand our range of activities and our impact on society, starting with the launch of the Lisbon Repair Map. This program will involve an online mapping tool to increase circularity in the city, but also create in-person opportunities for citizens to become more involved with circularity practices.
Mission: To foster climate connections in Lisbon by creating a collaborative network that empowers people across sectors to learn, connect, and act on climate solutions.
Vision: A more regenerative, resilient Lisbon shaped by people working together on climate action.
Purpose: Climate Circle Lisbon creates spaces, initiatives and relationships to catalyse local, community-led climate action in Lisbon.
Budget and due dates
The funds' allocation will be done as follows:
-
Administrative costs (accounting, legal): 50%
-
Marketing costs (materials, promotion): 10%
-
Tooling costs (website, internal communication): 20%
-
Program funding: 10% (note: programs will be largely funded through dedicated means)
-
Crowdfunding campaign fees: 10%
The funds are meant to cover the costs of operating the association during 2026. Some of the costs were already incurred, some others will only be done once we receive the additional funds. This allows us to ensure the continuity of our current activities while preparing the launch of new projects, such as the Lisbon Repair Map.
