The project seeks to be a meeting point between volunteers and institutions that require volunteer actions and has the main mission to boost the volunteer community, by creating dynamic opportunities in a virtual platform.
It allows institutions to publish their opportunities online in a dynamic perspective, as well it provides to the candidates a range of volunteer openings, that they are able to apply and contact the institutions directly.
The matching process between volunteers and institutions tend to be simple. With a modern and relax graphical environment, the application process will be short, intuitive and easy to use.
Voluntiir will be based on an innovative project across all the areas of organizations, promoting the exercise of citizenship and social responsibility, in one affordable platform, for and to everyone.

Why Voluntiir?
Voluntiir intends to differentiate from its future competitors, by claiming itself as a platform fully focused on the matching of volunteers and organizations. To do this, users will have a fresh and easy online interaction with an overview of volunteering opportunities as soon as they access to Voluntiir's website, listed by causes and local proximity.
Users will have access to innovative tools: a personal profile, a detailed record of their past and current volunteer work, opportunities defined by location and also the ability to write reviews about their volunteer experiences. Institutions can also leave a feedback and write down recommendations statements to the volunteers' that contributed to achieve the institution's goals.
The project will be based on a proactive, free and innovative communication features. Voluntiir will be an independent and non-governmental project, created by a group of young, dedicated and strong supporters of causes through volunteering. The goal is to turn Voluntiir as an active and essential platform in today's modern society.
About the author
João Russo: 26 years old – Since early age, has been linked to social inclusion projects in troubled neighborhoods and currently is a volunteer at C.A.S.A. located in Setúbal, Portugal. This Financial Analyst sees community's volunteer work as a "essential part to population's well-being".
Pedro Cunha: 27 years old – This Computer Engineer began his career in Startups and sees entrepreneurship as an engine of growth in today's modern society. Considers himself as a dedicated and creative person always willing to take up new challenges. Joins the Voluntiir team to create the online platform in order to facilitate the interaction between volunteers and organizations.
Raquel Gomes, 23 years old - Currently working in the hospitality industry, sees in her travels a form of self-development and in volunteer work a duty to the community. "The greatest gift you can give someone is your time"; therefore makes sure to share it with those who need it most. In 2010 was part of the project initiation phase of the NGO “The Big Hand” and currently claims herself as a supporter of sustainable urban mobility.
Budget and due dates
Budget:
The estimated budget (initial) have the total amount of 7123 euros, with an option for smartphone application development, with a cost of 5 000 euros, if demand justifies.
The amount will be financed mostly by donations and by ourselves (within our limitations), and donations are crucial to the project's start.
The resume of the budget (attached):
· Creation registration and site accommodation: 500 euros
· Services contract for the preparation of the site's database and its connection with the same layout: 1 500 euros
· Acquisition of materials for product creation (eg brochures, presentations, cards, among others: 2 000 euros
· Communication and travel to entities (eg letters, phone calls, transport, taxis and petrol (initial)): 1 500 euros
· Website Promotion Campaign: (complete according to raquel): 2000 euros
· Crowdfunding costs: 123 EUR: 5% commission PPL + VAT. The PPL charges 5% of issued amount, only if you can raise the entire amount requested. Otherwise, it has no cost and no money raised is returned to the supporters. The amount of any commission, plus VAT at the rate of 23%.
Deadlines (attached):
The development phase has begun in September as shown in the attachment, it is expected the site to start operating in July.
