The unprecedented humanitarian crisis that is affecting the Venezuelan people and the Portuguese community in Venezuela, caused by food shortages and more than 80% of medicines, has led VENEXOS to join the Ayuda Humanitaria Program for Venezuela (https://ayudahumanitariavenezuela.org/) (US-based) through which it is promoting a campaign to collect medicines and food for children up to 6 years old that are sent to Venezuela to help the Venezuelan people and the resident Portuguese community in that country.

Here in Portugal our network of volunteers collect the medicines / food, check the validity and conditions and then put in properly packed boxes to send to Venezuela. The medicines and food we ship must always be valid for at least 6 months.
All associations belonging to the Programa Ayuda Humanitaria para Venezuela (PAHPV) are only allowed to receive our humanitarian aid because they are properly "controlled and verified" by PAHPV volunteers in Venezuela to prevent any misuse of donations.
To date, under the PAHPV, more than 4 tonnes have been shipped since 2016 (year of founding of Venexos) and 1.4 tonnes of Child Food. These donations were delivered essentially to the following foundations, Fundación La Pastillita (www.facebook.com/FundacionLaPastillita) and Fundación Manos para Vargas
(https://www.facebook.com/manosparavargas), Margarita Sonrie (https://instagram.com/margaritasonrie), Caritas de Venezuela (Valencia) (http://www.caritasvln.org) and Fundación Consulta Salud ( https://www.instagram.com/consultasalud.ve/). Although we have recently expanded our range of foundations and additionally food has been delivered to different orphanages in Venezuela.
For example with € 7000 we were able to put in our associations in Venezuela two (2) tons of medicines / food.
As a way of witnessing that medicines and food are properly distributed to the people who need it most, we always ask for testimony from those who receive our help, so our Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/venexos/) has multiple photos and Videos of the people and children who receive our help.
In the past, RTP made a report showing how drugs arrived in Venezuela: RTP Frontline - A People on the Run - https://www.rtp.pt/play/p4231/e326513/linha-da-frente and recently TVI reported on our association: https://youtu.be/E1Om9w6voVA
