One step, one life Initiative to support economically disadvantaged individuals derived from the "COVID-19" pandemic One step towards a new life! #umpassoumavida
One step, One Life.
Given the current world panorama, totally unforeseen by the whole society, the problems caused by the population are visible. The consequences are apparent not only in the absence of the common daily life previously taken for granted, but also in the exacerbated involuntary / voluntary social isolation.
In order to support economically disadvantaged individuals, this initiative appears.
My name is Diogo Fino, I am 26 years old, resident in Faro, I am a personal trainer and former champion of marathons.
I took the initiative to create this challenge, which consists of, through the practice of physical exercise, supporting the disadvantaged population of the Algarve, more specifically of Faro.
The promotion of sports practice in this period of confinement, combined with the spirit of solidarity for those who are at the forefront in combating this pandemic outbreak, materialized in the promotion of this event.
Called “ One step, one life” this campaign aims to, with the collaboration of personal trainers and individuals who consent to the challenge, up and down 4,000 stairs, among them, in a 24-hour timeframe; if the challenge is successfully completed, the number of stairs will rise the next day. Participants will be able to directly identify and share the number of steps they are able to climb. In order to keep the challenge constantly updated, I will share information through social networks.
