I ask for help to acquire sports equipment and repair the damaged vehicle of the club, for the youth of Rabo de Peixe, athletes of Sporting Clube Ideal!
Hello everyone!
I come to request the help of anyone who can contribute.
In summary, as the football coach for the under-15 age group (initiates) at Sporting Clube Ideal, a club in Ribeira Grande, on the island of São Miguel, Azores, I am involved in a sports project that focuses mainly on the sports training and personal development of children and young people aged 14/15.
The current squad of initiates, as of today (24-07-2023), consists of 20 young players, all residents of Rabo de Peixe (a parish in the municipality of Ribeira Grande). It is well known by everyone the difficulties and obstacles that the young people from this area must overcome on a daily basis.
Therefore, my personal goal is to empower these young individuals through sports, specifically football, by providing them with mechanisms to overcome the daily adversities they face. Hence, my focus is on their personal development through sports.
However, Sporting Clube Ideal is currently facing a challenging economic and financial situation, and there is no available budget to acquire sports equipment for the 20 young players in this age group, which is estimated to cost around 1600€.
To make matters worse, the club's van, which was used to transport the athletes to training sessions and away games, has broken down and is in a deplorable state after being vandalized overnight on the street.
The cost of repairing the vehicle is estimated to be around 6000€.
Despite being informed about the club's financial, material, and logistical difficulties from the beginning by the club's management, I still decided to take on this project for the well-being, personal/academic success, and sports development of these young individuals! If we all contribute in any way we can, we can make the world a better place!
Now, I am reaching out to ask for the greatest possible help to make this project a reality, which is much more than just a dream of sporting success; it is about shaping the "Adults of tomorrow!"
