“A dream for Olga”

The project “A dream for Olga”, consists, asking for the solidarity of the members, in acquire a handrail lift which allows “Olga” walk in her house free from physical difficulties beyond the ones’ that she already has.

Olga is a 15 years old young girl with Rett Syndrome and her family asked us for help in order to acquire a stair lift. As you can see in our video which presents the cause, Olga is growing up and everyday her mother carries her, allowing Olga to move around in her house.

Our duty is to help this families and to make that happen we need your help. We have to remember that this disease is genetic and degenerative without cure as well as the people who possesses the disease rely on an adult 24 per 7 in order to complete their daily routines. We request that you associate to this cause in order to, as an all with other initiatives, being able to raise the money that is needed to help Olga achieve her dream!

This project intends to help a family that is associated to ANPAR, which has a aughter with Rett Syndrome. She uses a wheelchair to dislocate herself from place to place, however her house has stairs which causes a physical barrier to her normal daily routine.

About the author

The ANPAR (National Association of Parents and Friends of Rett), has as mission support the citizens which have the Syndrome of Rett and their family members, trying to provide better living conditions through actions which include a wide range of aspects such as social, educational, cultural, medicals, scientific and investigation which allow to live with this type of disease. The Rett Syndrome is a rare disease in the feminine sex which affects the motor, cognitive and behavioral capacities. The ANPAR tries to promote the understanding of the audience when talking about this disease. Not only but also, tries to help in the psychologic balance of the families, raising awareness to the characteristics, the educational, social and therapeutic methods related to the rare disease, as well as promoting campaigns with the authorities. Search of methods which allows the diagnostic, prevention, therapeutic and rehab of the disease. To conclude we have the fund raising in order to implement projects and activities of the association and their families.

Budget and due dates

We want to raise with this campaign about 3.100 € working with other partners, we achieve the point which is the stair lift for Olga in 6 months’ time. The total amount of this equipment is 7.065,96 €, so we hope to reunite all of the efforts in order to buy this lift which is extremely necessary to make her and her families’ life a little bit better.
