Our athletes have received their first invitation to participate in an international tournament. It is an honor for them to represent their parish (Olivais-Lisbon) in a tournament where teams of great name and national recognition as well as international teams participate.
You are young, you like futsal, you represent a club that has a great history in your parish and that is when a unique opportunity arises... to participate in your first International Tournament (VIII Funchal Cup). There will be renowned national and international teams taking part. In addition to all this, you will also have the opportunity to get to know Funchal, be with your colleagues and have an experience that you will never forget.
But everything can be ruined because you realize that there is only one obstacle between this dream of yours and you: you don't have the money to cover the costs of the trip.
The futsal section of Sport Lisboa e Olivais is a section that supports young people from the parish through the practice of sport. They are young people from humble families. It is not only practicing what they like most but also their first opportunity to combine what they like to do most with a trip outside mainland Portugal. An experience that they will most likely not be able to do again.
We are committed to making the dreams of our athletes come true, but we need your help.

Sport Lisboa e Olivais is a club located in the parish of Olivais, city of Lisbon. It was founded on September 20, 1934 and its objective is to promote the sporting and recreational development of its athletes.
Its headquarters are located in the sports complex located on Rua Almada Negreiros – Campo Branca Lucas.
Awarded the Medal of Sports Merit for good services rendered to society, Sport Lisboa e Olivais involves around 700 athletes from schools to seniors.
In this particular case, the Futsal modality is managed independently of its directors, who must always report to the management.
There was a senior team that competed in the National First Division championship, but due to its autonomy and the high associated costs, it had to give up and end its activity. However, for an amateur team, it has an enviable record.
Its achievements include:
· Winner of the Portuguese Cup (2003/2004 season)
· Winner of the B series of the National II Division (season 222/2003), being National Vice-Champion of the National II Division
· Winner of the National Division III series C (2000/2001 season)
· National runner-up of the III National Division.
In the 2014/2015 season, already competing in the Liga Sport Zone (National Championship of the First Division), it was forced to withdraw from the championship due to financial difficulties, continuing only the training under the same conditions of autonomous financial management. It competed in the national championship for about 13 years.
Its training follows the same values and principles left by its senior team, of which it is very proud although it is no longer active. It lives with many financial difficulties, but manages to maintain its principles of promoting social inclusion and ethical values through sports.
At a sporting level, he has the following achievements:
· Champion of the Children's team, District II division (2007/2008 season)
· Champion of the Children's team, District Division I (2012/2013 season)
· Runner-up of the Youth team, District Division II (2012/2013 season)
· Junior team champion, III District Division (2013/2014 season)
· Sudden division of Honor junior team (2014/2015 season)
· Vice-Champion of the Youth team (2016/2017 season) with respective promotion to the Honor Division
· Champion of the youth team, III District Division (2022/2023 season)

The total estimated amount to be taken to the VIII Funchal Futsal Cup is €11,654.35 , distributed as follows:
- Flights to Funchal: €9,814.35
- Rental of a 9-seater van + full coverage insurance: €1,640.00
- Diesel for travel between pavilions and guesthouse: €200.00
The futsal section of Sport Lisboa Olivais is committed to helping these athletes and has already managed to raise €2,336 through various actions.
Right now we need around €9,000.00 to make this dream a reality.
