Simão has stomatitis gingivitis and needs his teeth removed, in addition to other problems that require veterinary care.
Simão appeared about 4 days ago at the Tancos military base (vn da barquinha). He was picked up but it was impossible to keep him. He was extremely thin and dehydrated, had bloody diarrhea, and couldn't eat or drink due to problems with his teeth and gums, which caused him to bleed a lot. He also has a crippled paw. Despite everything, he is one of the sweetest cats we know and only wants to be pampered. He is truly a sweetheart.
We have to save him to find a responsible family and give him the life he deserves.
About the author
The barquinha moved by 4 paws is an informal group of volunteers who have been fighting for the well-being of animals, especially street animals, in the municipality of Vn da Barquinha for several years. We take care of several feline colonies. We rescue cats and dogs for responsible adoption and veterinary care when necessary. We carry out all sterilization work through the CED program and when this does not exist, we pay out of our own pocket.
We also work with other associations in the area that help us and we help them. We also help needy people with clothes, toys and food.
Budget and due dates
Simão has an appointment scheduled for Monday, February 17th. Assuming that there won't be anything worse like panleukopenia, pif or felv, the amount requested is for the appointment, probable tooth surgery (we are sure that at least 1 will have to be removed), medication, dewormer, etc.
