Portugal at the Rope Skipping World Championship

We are 7 athletes heading to the biggest stage of our sport and we need your support. The money raised will help with the registration fees for the delegation. Join us and be part of this dream!

The National Rope Skipping Team will represent Portugal at the World Championship , which will take place in Japan in July 2025. This is the biggest international event in the sport, where the best athletes in the world compete and show their passion for this sport.

Participation costs:

• Registration : €4080 (necessary to guarantee athletes’ participation);
• Travel : ~€9600 (the estimated cost for travel for the entire group, from Porto to Japan and back);
• Accommodation : ~3000€ (to cover accommodation during the event).

Although we need a total of €16,000 , the campaign's objective is to raise €5,395 , which would cover registration costs (+VAT) and ensure that Portugal is represented with pride.

About the author

The Portuguese Rope Skipping Association (APRS) is the entity responsible for promoting, developing and supporting Rope Skipping in Portugal. Since its creation in 2011, we have worked hard to promote this sport that combines technique, rhythm and teamwork. We are proud to represent hundreds of talented athletes who dedicate countless hours to training and competing, raising the profile of Portugal on national and international stages. Last year, our team stood out at the European Championships . This year, our team qualified for the 2025 Rope Skipping World Championships.

The team is made up of highly dedicated athletes, experienced coaches, committed leaders and a passionate community. We are committed to giving these young talents all the tools to compete with the best in the world and show Portugal’s strength in this sport.

Budget and due dates

The fundraising budget of €5,395 will be used as follows:

• Registration : €4080 (€510 per member) - amount required for registration in the Championship for all members of the delegation (7 athletes and 1 coach);
• In addition to this amount, the delegation will also have to pay around €9,600 for travel (Porto-Japan), €3,000 for accommodation and, finally, €1,315 for commission fees for this platform.

Schedule:

• Campaign launch: March 30, 2025;
• Campaign ends: May 15, 2025;
• Expenses and organization: May - payment of registration fees, travel and accommodation;
• World Championships: 26 July - 3 August 2025

TRANSPARENCY COMMITMENT:

All funds raised will be used exclusively for the goals outlined. As each milestone is reached, we will share updates on the campaign's progress and the team's preparation.
