Campaign to create the website of the National Network of Cultural Associations, a platform that connects and gives voice to associations across the country.

The National Network of Cultural Associations is an initiative that aims to connect, map and give visibility to cultural associations across the country. The project was born from the desire to strengthen the associative ecosystem and promote cultural decentralisation, creating a space for encounter and collaboration between associations, artists and communities.

After an initial registration phase that brought together 227 associations from the north to the south of the country, including the islands, we are now moving forward with the development of the Network’s official website, a collaborative platform that will allow users to explore the national map of associations, access information and contacts for each entity, and take part in an internal forum dedicated to sharing and cooperation.

This crowdfunding campaign aims to gather the resources needed to develop the website and the Network’s visual identity, ensuring that the project remains independent, accessible and sustainable.

Your contribution will help give digital form to a real movement, making visible the work of the countless cultural associations that keep creativity, participation and community spirit alive throughout the country.

About the author

Lúcia-Lima Cultural Association is a non-profit organisation based in Cadima, Cantanhede, founded in 2021 by Johny Gil, a musician and cultural producer. It is dedicated to cultural creation, programming and mediation, working across the fields of art, education, ecology and citizenship.

With a small and independent structure, Lúcia-Lima has established itself as a space for experimentation and encounter, promoting concerts, artistic residencies, workshops, film screenings, debates and other initiatives that foster community interaction and participation. Its activities grow out of the community and are directed back to it, valuing collaboration between local and national artists and the relationship between culture and territory.

The association emerged from the desire to decentralise culture and create a permanent cultural space in a rural context, transforming an old family home into a vibrant and ever-evolving cultural centre. The word “Decentralise”, painted on the mural on the façade, encapsulates its mission: to shift the centre, bring culture closer to people and build networks of solidarity and creativity beyond major urban areas.

Among its projects, the National Network of Cultural Associations stands out as an initiative that aims to map, connect and give voice to cultural collectives across the country, promoting cooperation between associations and strengthening the independent cultural landscape.

Lúcia-Lima is now a meeting point for artists, neighbours and visitors, where culture acts as a driver for participation and social transformation.

Budget and due dates

The total value of the campaign is €2,500. After the PPL platform commission (€230.63), the amount available for the project will be €2,269.38. This amount will be allocated to two key areas:

1. Website development - €2,000

The creation of the website will give digital form to the National Network of Cultural Associations and facilitate connections between associations across the country. The development includes:

  • Interactive map showing the location of registered associations.
  • Detailed list with information about each association.
  • System enabling updates, corrections and the inclusion of new associations.
  • Internal forum reserved for network members.

2. Visual identity and communication - €269.38

  • Creation of the logo and main graphic elements.
  • Templates for digital communication and social media.
  • Visual materials that ensure consistency in the Network’s public presentation.

If the amount raised exceeds the campaign goal, the surplus will be used to promote and publicise the Network, increasing its visibility among associations, artists and the wider public.

The crowdfunding campaign will run until 16 January 2026.

Once this phase is complete, the website will enter immediate development. The team expects the first operational features to be available between June and July 2026, allowing users to consult the map of associations and access the initial database. The full development of the website and the implementation of the visual identity will be completed shortly after this period, accompanying the evolving needs of the Network.
