Renato Teixeira, the young triathlete from Braga, Portugal won at the portuguese stage of XTerra World Tour the "slot" that gives him direct entry to the World Cup of this demanding Triathlon consisting of 1500 m open water swimming, 40 km mountain biking and 10 km trail running. Let's all help Renato realize his dream of becoming XTERRA world champion representing Portugal on November 1st, 2015 in Maui, Hawaii.
The XTERRA World Tour gives athletes from around the world the opportunity to run in off-road triathlons in some of the most diverse, spectacular and challenging natural environments on the planet - from tropical jungles to snow-covered alps. Professional athletes compete for prize money, while amateurs race for national titles and the coveted "slots" for the World Championship in Maui, Hawaii.

Achieving the 1st place in AgeGroup [20-24] ahead of French Christopher Dupre and Portuguese Carlos Carvalho in the Portuguese round of the World Tour which took place in Golegã on May 16st Renato gained direct entry in the World Cup.
