There are thousands of dogs chained in Portugal. By building free fence,s Quebr' a Corrente frees dogs living on chains giving a safe place and supports the owners to be better caregivers.
The money raised is for the acquisition of material (nets, panels, poles, sticks, gates, tools) to fence outside areas and break dogs chains. Who get involved in this campaign can contribute with a donation, help build a fence and be an agent of social change.

About the author
Quebr 'a Corrente is the first civic movement in Portugal to unchain dogs, through the fence of outdoor spaces, always in collaboration with the owners.
We are 70 volunteers, activists and animal advocates who, with and without experience, joined the Movement to assemble fences and unchained dogs.
The team acts in collaboration with the owners through the creation of trust relationships, considering the lack of resources and knowledge are the two main causes of keeping dogs in chains.
Budget and due dates
The money raised is applied exclusively to the purchase of fences to assemble in outdoor areas such as backyards, whick allows owners to maintain their dogs free forever. It may be necessary to apply some of the money for spay or basic vaccionations, medication or urgent veterinary care.
