I am a young dog who needs surgery to repair a congenital defect (PAD) so that I can live with my family for much longer.
Hello, I'm Prada, a young Pinscher dog of about one year old. We recently discovered that I have a birth defect called Persistent Ductus Arteriosus (PAD). Without surgery, my life expectancy is very short.
I always thought I had a healthy life, until my guardian carried out pre-surgical analyzes for my sterilization. That's when they discovered that I have a bilateral grade IV/VI heart murmur with respiratory sinus arrhythmia. After an echocardiogram, I was diagnosed with PAD. For those who don't know, Persistent Ductus Arteriosus is a congenital defect that results from the non-occlusion of a structure between the aorta and the pulmonary artery, which means that venous and arterial blood can mix.
Now, I need surgery to correct this problem and have the opportunity to live many happy years with my family. Unfortunately, my family is experiencing economic difficulties and is unable to bear the high cost of the surgery alone. Therefore, I need your help!

About the author
Hello everyone, my name is Raiane and I am the owner of Prada and Pandora. Due to inflation and the economic difficulties we are facing, it has been difficult to take care of the expenses of my pets. Unfortunately, Prada was diagnosed with a birth defect that is already causing symptoms and requires surgery as soon as possible.
The budget for the surgery is very high and, unfortunately, I cannot afford it alone. Therefore, I decided to use crowdfunding to ask for your help. I want to create an opportunity for Prada to live many more healthy and happy years. If surgery is not performed, the prognosis is not good.
Will you help me save Prada?

Budget and due dates
The predictions were made following the first echocardiography and the values may fluctuate depending on the echocardiography closer to the date of surgery, however, there may be two approaches and each with different costs, the first being interventional occlusion which is less invasive, which could cost around €2,700 or surgery via thoracotomy (opening of the chest cavity) to access the heart, which involves a longer hospital stay until the drain is removed, which could cost around €1,500.
To avoid complications and more serious consequences, surgery should be performed as soon as possible.
