Support Pedro Bica in the OCR World Championship

Help me become OCR World Champion in the 10/11 age group :D

Hi, my name is Pedro Bica, I'm 11 years old and I'm an OCR - Obstacle Course Racing athlete. This sport is my passion and I was selected to represent Portugal at the 2023 OCR World Championship in Belgium - WORLD OBSTACLE UIPM 2023 OCR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS - September 14th to 17th.

What is OCR - Obstacle Course Racing?

"OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) is a sport that involves competing in challenging courses full of obstacles. OCR combines endurance racing elements with overcoming various obstacles, such as walls, nets, trenches, lakes, ramps, ropes, ladders, among others.

OCR has gained popularity in recent years due to its physical and mental challenge, as well as its approach to teamwork and self-improvement. It is a sport that requires strength, endurance, agility, climbing skills and the ability to deal with unforeseen challenges along the way. There are several OCR modes, including shorter, more intense races like the Spartan Race and Tough Mudder, and longer distance races like the World's Toughest Mudder.

In addition to competitions, OCR is also practiced by enthusiasts as a form of physical exercise and functional training, as it offers a fun and challenging way to exercise while overcoming obstacles."

I will compete in my class in two categories, OCR 100 Sprint and 3K Short Course . You can see the links below for examples of these tests, respectively:

OCR is my passion , time stands still when I'm in training and racing, I'm obstinate and focused on the goal - Goal on the Podium, preferably in first place :D Above all I have a lot of fun and I love competing with my colleagues of modality... overcoming obstacles, the race, in those moments it's just me, nature and the path ahead of me to the finish line!

I am very proud to be able to represent Portugal in the World Championship!

I'm Pedro's father and together we are doing this fundraising campaign to support the expenses associated with Pedro's journey towards his dream.

Pedro discovered OCR - Obstacle Course Racing, during the end of the Pandemic, on a Lynxrace public obstacle course in Outeiro de Polima. Every day he trained alone and with me, going through the challenging obstacles of this track. We quickly realized his natural talent for the modality and soon, his passion for sport and physical exercise.

At the same time, he started training OCR in the OCR Portugal LAB team with Coach Bruno Sousa (one of the main references of OCR in Portugal) and Coach Duarte Alves (current Two-time OCR European Champion) , to whom we are very grateful for everything. what they have done for Pedro, as well as the rest of the team.

OCR was and continues to be a key part of Pedro's development as a child/individual, reinforcing his self-esteem, confidence and value system/hierarchy. Over this time and through his natural passion for the sport, commitment, consistency in training and competitive spirit , now comes the opportunity to fly higher and further - The OCR World Championship in Belgium .

Registration for the event is already guaranteed by FPOCR - Portuguese Obstacle Racing Federation, to which I am very grateful and eager to represent Portugal in this challenge! However, I need your help with the rest of the expenses associated with My Dream - Becoming OCR World Champion in 2023! :D
