The Night of Medicine is the largest and oldest academic show in the country! Currently in its 92nd edition, it is a non-profit, solidarity-based project, carried out annually by the finalists of the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon.
The Night of Medicine , currently in its 92nd edition, is the largest and oldest academic show in the country. It is a project carried out annually by the finalists of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon. This is a musical theater show accompanied by videographic projections, which aims to portray the daily life of a medical student, marking the transition of finalists to the professional world, while simultaneously welcoming new students to the course. The next edition of this unique event is already being prepared and will take place in November 2021.
This is a non-profit solidarity project, having already supported numerous IPSS - this year in partnership with Associação VOX Lisboa ( site ), supporting its mission to bring health to the most disadvantaged people in our society.
This is an opportunity to support the realization of this project, so cherished by the academic community that has so much history and tradition. A small amount of support will make all the difference to this initiative, which, like the entire cultural world, was hampered by the impact of the pandemic.

About the author
We are 300 students in the 6th year of the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon with the dream of celebrating medicine through art! We want to continue the largest and oldest academic show in the country and make this the best Medicine Night ever!
We are motivated by the responsibility to perpetuate this 90-year-old event and the importance it has for us as a milestone for the end of the course and for the reception of new colleagues.
We want to tell our parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, teachers, colleagues that being a medical student is much more than studying...

Budget and due dates
The spectacle that is the Night of Medicine has been growing exponentially every year, and as finalists at the Faculty of Medicine we dream of doing more and better... So that we can give wings to the imagination, to the critical spirit of all our colleagues and for a six-year emotional farewell.
Concretely, this year we are faced with a much higher expected cost for the entire production of the show, compared to what has been observed in recent years.
And it is in this context that the idea of crowdfunding PPL arose, in order to reach supporters from all over the country, from all over the world! Therefore, we intend to raise 2000€ until October 15th.
We are counting on you, so that in November we can make our dream come true!
