With the health crisis of COVID 19, it was essential to reinforce a set of services and create new means and ways of providing assistance to the most fragile and needy people, either through the provision of services that protected them from the risks of contagion, or even through the provision of services. basic necessities.
The Moscavide and Portela Parish Council is, from the first hour, providing assistance to people and families who have seen their income drop or end. On the other hand, we have all the resources available on the street to create sanitary conditions and reduce the risk of contagion. These contagion risk mitigation measures were and are essential to ensure the safety of our residents.

Your contribution is essential so that we can continue to be that answer for all those, who in this scenario of real catastrophe, to the Parish Council come as the first door that opens, the first help, the first hand of those who can receive support.

COVID 19, came to demonstrate that there is no safe haven for anyone, but that it is in the local authorities and especially in the Parish Councils that people find the certainties that nobody has, but that we are obliged to give, so that nobody is left behind.

This pandemic took the Parish Council to the limit of its existing resources, and at the same time drastically reduced all of its capacity to generate revenue. Without any public support, he has tried, to the extent of his possibilities, to help all situations, although with natural damage to his finances, however, we know what matters, people, and today we would take all the measures we have taken.

We will not stand idly by, we will do everything we can to have the necessary means to enable us to continue to defend and support our population. Help us to help .

We know that sharing is one of the noblest gestures of the human condition, that we have a community that is involved, just and solidary. It is because we are aware of the capacity for sharing and solidarity that is part of all of us that we ask all citizens of our parish to participate in this collection of donations through the PPL application. About the author

The Moscavide and Portela Parish Council was created in 2013, under the administrative reform, by the aggregation of the old parishes of Moscavide and Portela.
With the following geographical area and inhabitants:

Moscavide

Area: 1.10 km2
Population: 14,266 Hab

Portela

Area: 0.99 km2
Population: 11,809 Hab.

It is a Parish Council that places itself next to people, its motto being action: FIRST PEOPLE.

Under this premise, a daily management of proximity and dynamism is made, in a local work, side by side with people, with the concern of guaranteeing citizens their accompaniment, recognition, and that they are supported by those who know them.

Budget and due dates

The funds raised are intended to support mutual assistance projects that are already implemented and are being developed by the Parish Council, through its limited financial possibilities, in direct support to the most needy, but that lack continuity, not being possible in this estimate an end date.

- Purchase of food - € 5,000.00;

- Transport / fuel (for paramedical technicians / delivery of meals and food items - € 1,500.00;

- Purchase of hygiene and disinfection material - € 1,500.00

- Support in the payment of expenses such as (rent / water / electricity / gas) - 2.000,00 €

The calculation of the indicated values was estimated based on the expenditure of previous months, which has been allocated by the Parish Council for these purposes.
