Help the Missão Animal Association (Animal Mission Association), in Amarante, pay its debts and continue rescuing stray cats.
Our Mission: Since our founding, we have worked tirelessly to rescue abandoned, abused and sick cats. We provide them with a safe environment and all the necessary care until they find a permanent home.
The Challenge: Unfortunately, the growing demand for our services, combined with limited resources, has resulted in significant debt that now puts our operation at risk. We need your help to cover these costs and ensure we can continue our mission.
What's at Stake: Without the support they need, hundreds of vulnerable cats will be left without the rescue and essential care they need. With your help, we can continue to offer a better future to these animals who so much need love and care.
Contribute and Share: Make your donation today and help us spread the word by sharing this campaign with friends, family and on your social networks. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of many cats and ensure that Missão Animal continues to be a beacon of hope for them.

**History and Impact of Mission Animal**
Missão Animal initially emerged as an informal group in 2015, bringing together young people passionate about protecting and rescuing cats in Amarante. In 2020, due to growing recognition and the need to formalize its activities, the group was officially recognized as a youth association. Since then, Missão Animal has operated as a non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to the rescue, care and rehabilitation of at-risk cats.
Operating on a 100% voluntary basis, Missão Animal relies on the dedication and effort of countless volunteers who donate their time, resources and love to improve the lives of rescued cats. The organization does not have its own shelter, but works closely with foster homes, veterinary clinics and other local partners to ensure each cat receives the care it needs.
Since its founding, almost 900 kittens have passed through Missão Animal. This number has grown annually, reflecting both the association's effectiveness in identifying and rescuing cats in need and the increased expenses associated with these rescues. Each cat rescued by Missão Animal receives full veterinary care, including consultations, treatments, surgeries, vaccines and exams. In addition, the association is responsible for providing adequate food, supplements, toys and environmental enrichment to ensure that cats have a healthy and happy life while awaiting adoption.
Missão Animal faces significant financial challenges, especially with the constant increase in the number of rescued cats and associated costs. However, thanks to the support of the community, donors and dedicated volunteers, the association continues to grow and expand its impact.
Missão Animal's mission is clear: to provide a dignified and safe life for each rescued cat, while working to find forever homes that can offer long-term love and care. The association remains committed to the cause, facing challenges with determination and counting on the community's support to continue saving lives.
