Kungfu Wushu - 8th Junior World Championship

Matilde Leitão, a 10-year-old promising young girl, practices a Chinese martial art - Kungfu Wushu - at Wulin Sports Association, in Maia. She will represent Portugal at the Junior World Wushu Championship in Indonesia, in December from 2nd to 10th.

Matilde will be the only Wulin representative in the National Team at the 8th Junior Wushu World Championship and, together with 4 more junior Kungfu Wushu athletes, will receive partial financial support from the Portuguese Federation of Chinese Martial Arts, since it does not have enough funds to cover the expenses of the entire entourage.
The athlete and coaches who will necessarily have to accompany her (as she is a minor) will have to bear all costs associated with the competition: registration, travel, accommodation, food and visas.
The estimated cost for each athlete and coach is around €1700/€1750, and all donations received will revert in full to cover this expense.

This will be a dream opportunity for Matilde, who has been preparing for this competition with great determination.
