The Mama Judith Center is living a dramatic situation after the Idaí cyclone The structure that housed 120 orphaned children has totally collapsed The aim is to help in rebuilding the house, and feeding the children
The Mama Judith Center, which benefits from Little Dresses for Africa Portugal work, is experiencing a dramatic situation after Cyclone Idaí.
The project is located in Dondo (Mandruzi village) in the province of Sofala, the most devastated area, and the house that housed the 120 children the project welcomes collapsed completely.
Reports are very serious, many submerged villages, many children at risk of life, and others who unfortunately have not resisted.
Fortunately all the children in the project are well, but without their home.
The campaign aims to help in the feeding, and in the reconstruction of the project house
The amount will be delivered by me, Lisa Santos, responsible for Ldfa - Little Dresses for Africa PT directly to Mama Judith.
Despite all the aid being sent to Mozambique, we know that is still manifestly insufficient, and that many populations will not be covered.
Apart from the urgent needs of food, water treatment and medicines there is a long road that is still starting now, the one of reconstruction, and although we can not help all, this is our way of being with this people in this hour of pain and discouragement trying to minimize the suffering of these children.
