The campaign consists of raising funds for the Projeto Livre - Social Project, with this campaign having the objective of raising funds for the distribution of 33 kits of recycable pads and 100 kits of condoms.

The menstrual period is still considered a great stigma in some societies. Together with the precarious situation of some women, menstrual hygiene is compromised, making women vulnerable in their daily lives. The Free Social Project was created to respond to these needs in Cape Verde. Therefore, it aims to raise reusable sanitary napkins and condoms in favor of women's health.

The campaigns already carried out so far had the objective of supporting the community of the island of Santo Antão. In this fundraising, the beneficiary community will be from the Island of São Vicente, where we also want to reach with our project and contribute so that the women of this island can have access to these essential goods and help fight menstrual poverty on this island. The Project will ensure not only the distribution of sanitary pads and condoms, but also the necessary training for the correct hygiene of reusable pads and sex education training when distributing condoms. Knowledge and learning about sexual life will help reduce the high rate of early pregnancy currently seen.

This campaign aims to raise funds for the purchase of 33 kits of reusable sanitary napkins and 100 kits of condoms. The Kit of Sanitary Pads, produced in São Vicente by OMCV (Organização da Mulher de São Vicente), contains 5 reusable pads and instructions for use and hygiene. The pads are made of cotton and are easily washed by hand, they are comfortable and safe. reusable pads are ecologically designed for repeated use due to the difficulty of recycling and the sanitary process of waste in Cape Verde.

The idea for Livre came about during a volunteer project carried out in June 2021 by the founders. The volunteer project consisted of promoting children's study centers and day care centers for the elderly. During that time there was very close contact with the local community, making it possible to understand how some themes and problems are still present. Women's health issues continue to be taboo, which makes women vulnerable who do not have the means to guarantee hygiene, health and safety regarding their intimate health. In this sense, hygiene and female care is still seen with some stigma, making women's position vulnerable and even compromising their well-being. At the same time, the financial issue is also an obstacle. The high cost of feminine hygiene products, taking into account average financial capabilities, means that this issue tends to be relegated to the background. For this very reason, we believe that this project will be important in allowing access to intimate health goods to women with economic and social needs so that they are free and independent. All of this acting from a perspective with economic and sustainable concerns.
