Reaching change in Cape Verde

KIMOV has been making a difference in the lives of many ambitious and determined girls. It is time to give them surf equipment of the quality and quantity they deserve.

Right now, our biggest project is Winds of Change . In this project, we offer free surf and kitesurf lessons to our beneficiaries, where they learn the importance of resilience and consistency, and also get to enjoy the sea around their island, some of them for the first time.

With the help of wonderful benefactors and donors, we were able to gather various materials that will improve the experience of our water sports classes, from boards to wetsuits, among other things.

The current challenge? Getting all this material to Cape Verde.

This fundraising campaign means a very significant improvement in the provision of our services, will increase the safety and autonomy of our classes, and will allow us to reach more girls who are passionate about the sea and about expanding their horizons.

KIMOV - Krioulos in Motion - is a non-profit organization that was founded in March 2025. We seek to empower young Cape Verdean women on Sal Island: helping them broaden their horizons and providing them with multifaceted and intersectional tools to create fulfilling and successful lives.

We work across several areas, including science, water sports, and responsible and sustainable tourism , with the fundamental goal of increasing the knowledge and opportunities for our girls, so that they grow up ambitious and focused on achieving their dreams. 🌊

€700 - Cape Verde VAT (charged upon arrival; includes insurance, merchandise value and freight)

€2000 - Local transport and storage logistics after material arrival (includes merchandise management, transport and fuel, human resources, space rental)
