I want to go back to Cape Verde to help develop the community. I know that a lot of people would love to go and contribute but don't have time... And they are those people that I want to represent! I just need help to get there!

I came back 6 months ago from Cape Verde and just want to go back! It was the only place where I had moments of full happiness, breathed lightness and discovered my essence.

I want to educate informally the wonderful people who live there, who also taught me what pure love is, as well as the value of the simple things of life.

When I came back, I changed my values ​​and created my own project: The Happy ANA Project, with a very strong social component and no monetary gains. Through the project, I make social and human sensitivity events in Portugal to build moments of joy, love, connection and inclusion.

The investment I made is because I believe it is possible to go far! One of my goals is to promote the power of contribution!

There is so much to do in the world! And I'm feeling this is my mission.

There are many people who would like to have time available to travel in less developed places and help when needed. I have the possibility to go and represent all these people!

My work and motivation will be to support daily activities and also to suggest and implement new non-formal education projects, pedagogical games, inclusion for arts and sports, etc., in two open spaces for children and young people in Mindelo, São Vicente, and I want to develop them emotional and socially, hoping to evolve the place.

About the author

My name is Ana, born and raised in Porto, the Sweet Invicta! I had a normal childhood (like many people), but nowadays the normal life bores me. I consider myself multifaceted,  which I believe is pleasing to any employer, yet I feel a great challenge in focusing on only one thing.  Imagine how my life went, when I had to choose an area when I went to high school! I repeated 2 years to conclude that my dream area was other. Children, clothing and people, were my challenges during 15 years of professional experience.  Between trainings and the Course of Tourist Animation, night out, concerts and comedy movies, nature and noise of the city, between friends and family and my cats and "Grey's Anatomy", I knew that I was born for something, and it was not just to be the clown in my friends group (though it looks like)! I've always loved to sing, to perform (in comedy), to drive (minivans) and to do many other things.  It's an endless list that obviously did not make it easier for me to pursue my mission! One day I had a click! Don't think that it was easy. I needed to have in the space of six months, several transformative experiences: Volunteer of a month in Cape Verde, International Certification and Professional Coaching + NLP Pratictioner + Riso Yoga Leader, three spiritual retreats, have seen five times the movie "Eat, Pray and Love", among other things, that made mine heart accelerate and mind clarify. But it was exactly there, when I was completely out of my comfort zone, that I wondered: Why not create something, where I can do what I want, what I have, what moves me, what I fall in love, continue to form me and, with all this, to add, positively, the life to someone or even a community? That's why I created "The Happy ANA Project" and realized that from here I could be from the world and make it a better place to live!
