Portuguese representation at the First Body Encounter

Support me in participating in the third First Body artistic event in Colombia. Help me raise €600 to pay for part of the plane ticket.

This meeting promotes a space for sharing different creative methodologies, where important artists from different cultures share their vision on creative processes through workshops, presentations, lectures, and conversations. The aim of the meeting is to create an international network of artist-researchers and to provide cultural exchange between the countries involved, thus fostering art as a vehicle for interrelations and education.

The third First Body Encounter will bring together performing artists from different countries who will work together for 12 days to share creative experiences and build a show that will be presented at a theater in Medellín, Colombia.

For me, this is a unique opportunity to grow as an artist. Can I count on you?

About the author

My name is Joana Lopes, I am a contemporary dancer and I work on the Planalto Mirandês. I am a curious and adventurous person and last summer I went to Italy for First Body training. I really enjoyed it and was very happy when I was invited to participate in the third First Body Encounter.

For me, it's important to participate in these kinds of events of artistic sharing and co-creation. I believe it's through this sharing that we can create dialogues between different cultures and more human artistic objects. With my participation in this meeting, I also want to enrich the artistic activities I develop in the community where I live.

The meeting will take place between January 12 and 28, 2026 in Medellín, Colombia.
