House of Rights, in Guinea-Bissau, is organizing the 3rd edition of the Book Fair, providing books mainly on human rights and development, and also African and international literature to guinean people.
The House of Rights in Guinea-Bissau opened doors in 2012 in the building of the old prison in the center of Bissau. Since then, it has been a collaborative space for civil society organizations and a place of dialogue and promotion of human rights in the context of Guinea-Bissau.
The house is a reference as a center of documentation, training and debate, as well as working space for the Guinean League of Human Rights.
Following the success of previous editions of the Book Fair in the House, we intend to organize in December this year the 3rd edition, providing books especially in the fields of Human Rights and Development, as well as classics of African and international literature. This requires means to enhance the quantity and variety of books available and ensure their transport to Guinea-Bissau.
That's why we are lauching this crowdfunding, to collect funds until 10 November.
The Book Fair will join the Fortnight of Rights, an initiative of discussion on human rights in Guinea-Bissau held by the House of Rights in the first two weeks of December.
