Inclusive Dance Project

A_ju_dança is an inclusive dance project that exists since 2006.

The objective is to promote Inclusive Dance, through the program of shows and offer means that allow everyone to dance, with the main focus being on capacity and not limitation. It aims to help dancers (with and without disabilities) to discover the look, the body, and themselves, increasing their expressiveness and enhancing their creativity.

After being stopped due to the current pandemic crisis, A_ju_dança resumed its activity and has been developing weekly rehearsals since May 2021, with the aim of building a new show that will premiere in December of this year.

But for everything to happen, support is needed. We have small government support, but in order to continue the project, we started this fundraising campaign for its creation, production and logistics.

About the author

The "in" aims to promote the lifelong inclusion of people with limitations in terms of body functions, activities and participation.

Specifically, the association proposes to develop the following objectives:

a) create services for people with limitations in terms of body functions, activities and participation, which respond to their training, occupation and integration needs;

b) maximizing the quality of life of people with disabilities, promoting their autonomy and social inclusion;

c) exert influence with the competent entities, promoting the creation of new inclusion and social protection models for people with limitations in terms of bodily functions, activities and participation;

d) create synergies and support networks among community members/structures, with a view to including people with disabilities;

e) promote training cycles, making the community aware of the issue of disability
