The challenge of cycling around 2300 km in 20 days by normal people for a cause. Hello London! Here we come Porto!
My name is Rodrigo and I have been living in London for almost 7 years. My brother Afonso and I are going to cycle from London to Porto for a cause.
The name of the project is Cycling between Towers and the journey will start by the Big Ben in London and end at the Clérigos Tower in Porto. We will cycle a total distance of about 2,300 km in 20 days. The scheduled departure date is the 8th of August.
My brother and I have always been concerned with how stressful it can be for children to be hospitalised and away from home and family. For this reason, we dedicate this adventure to a related cause. We have decided to support a children’s charity in each respective country. In England we will raise money to Theodora Children’s Charity and in Portugal to Operacao Nariz Vermelho.
The full amount raised in this platform will be donated to Operacao Nariz Vermelho.
The main objective of both institutions is to contribute to the wellbeing of children in hospitals, hospices and specialist care centres by providing visits from professional performers who have been trained to work in a medical environment.
So far, we have already established partnerships with Torres dos Clérigos - Irmandade dos Clérigos, Xeque-Mate and we are looking for others
